
It’s the weekend! Rather than spending this weekend lounging around watching television and wishing you were doing something else – or worse, working! – it’s important that you use your weekend to its full potential. This is especially true if you maintain a standard nine to five job throughout the week, and have very little time for yourself.
Wake Up
Take advantage of your weekend by waking up early enough to greet the day each day. Spending hours in bed won’t leave you feeling well-rested or satisfied. As you wake up, give gratitude for the morning.
Do Something New
Getting out of your regular routine during the weekday can be challenging to do, but during the weekend, there is no better time to try something new. Use the weekend to go somewhere you’ve always wanted, or take a class in something you have been dying to try.
Disconnect
Use this weekend to disconnect from your devices. If it’s too tempting to use them, turn them off or put them on airplane mode. Read a book, meet with friends and loved ones, and enjoy the outdoors.
Prepare a Delicious Meal
Preparing food during the work week that nourishes your body can be difficult to do – you have a lot going on. This weekend, head to your local farmers’ market (depending upon where you live), or stock up on nutrient rich items and commit to cooking something healthy and comforting.
