Have you ever tried to encourage a friend to do something big and suddenly got hit with objection after objection?
Case in point, I was in the middle of a conversation with two friends when one of them said, “I wish I could live in Italy for a few months.” My other friend replied, “That’s a great idea, why don’t you do it?.”
The responses were quite unimaginative…
“Because I don’t have the money.”
“I am renting a house that I do not want to give up.”
“My parents are over eighty and need me to be close to them.”
And so on…
As a reader, you would probably suggest solutions to each of these objections. There is always an alternative solution. Unless of course, you are the person creating the objections.
What Objections Are You Creating?
Ask yourself what you would make you happy. The answer shouldn’t take you long to formulate. You probably have a long list of wants. But when you ask yourself why you’re not doing any of those things right now, you notice that there are many obvious challenges, restrictions, and objections.
If you don’t fully believe that you are deserving of living your dream life, you are not going to experience in reality.
Put a pause on the objections.
Do what it takes.
Start telling yourself, “Yes, I can.”
And then switch into action.
