If you are unhappy doing your work or going into your place of work, there is no reason why you should remain there. Instead, acknowledge your feelings, determine the source of your feelings and then make a change.
There Are Clear Signs of a Toxic Work Environment
If there are clear signs of a toxic work environment, sticking around could be damaging to your energy. These signs include:
- Narcissism;
- Poor treatment of others;
- Company values that are not aligned with your own;
- Gossip; and
- A lack of personal growth and team collaboration.
You’re Not Using Your Skills
You have a unique set of skills – are those skills being put to good use? If you are working for someone who doesn’t appreciate what you can do and have to offer, why stick around?
You Think You Are Made for Something Else
Finally, do you have a little voice inside of your head that is telling you that you were made for something else? If so, you might consider listening to it. After all, the person who knows you the best is you.
