Thanksgiving is tomorrow, which means you may be traveling, cleaning, or preparing myriad dishes. No matter how you’re spending your Thanksgiving, or with whom, here are some tips for having a great day–
Get Outdoors
If even only for a moment, make an effort to get outdoors. The vitamin D and fresh air will help to clear your head and put you in a great frame of mind for the rest of the day.
Think About What’s Important
We know that Thanksgiving can be stressful, especially if you are the one hosting. But instead of fretting over whether or not the turkey turns out perfectly, you should re-focus your energy on the things that are most important. If you start to feel stressed, take a deep breath and try to see the situation from the perspective of an outsider. Is what you’re worrying about really worth it?
Be Grateful
Thanksgiving used to a be one of the few holidays that was truly about friends, family, and gratitude. Today, it’s become more commercialized, with too many focused on binge eating and Black Friday shopping. While we’re not saying that you should avoid these activities, we are saying that you should be sure to reflect on what you’re grateful for.
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? How do you plan to make it a great day?
