The symptoms of Glossophobia tend to develop around the age of 13 and follow us around all through our adult lives. For most people, it also limits their communication with other people in casual settings.

Deep breathing exercises are helpful to calm the nerves. Developing a habit of daily meditation makes it easier to control the anxiety attacks when they occur.
Engaging in a daily mindfulness practice reduces anxiety levels and has a relaxing effect on your mental and physical state.
Reduce Public Speaking Anxiety With Small Steps
Giving a TED talk to push yourself out of your comfort zone is not going to help you overcome your public-speaking anxiety. Start by expressing yourself in small groups and with people whom you trust.
There are professional groups like Toastmasters to help and support your journey. Your first step would involve something as simple as getting up and saying hello to the group. The following week, you could expand and share your favorite activity. At some point, you will develop the fortitude to deliver a long speech. And over time, you can increase the exposure by looking for opportunities to speak to a larger audience.
The next time you have an opportunity, feel the fear and do it anyway.
