Introverts and extroverts have unique ways of approaching situations and people, solving problems and pursuing success. Here are some ways to determine whether or not you are an introvert or an extrovert—
You Enjoy Others
If you enjoy the company of others – often deriving happiness from social situations – chances are you are an extrovert. Not only do you probably have a lot of friends and like being around people but people probably feel comfortable around you as well. In terms of success, your ability to connect with others is a skill to be proud of and can be vital in forming important connections.
You’re Great at Being Solo
If, unlike the example above, you are a person who very much enjoys being on your own and are great at working by yourself on projects, you are probably an introvert. For you, you are able to buckle down and focus and probably engage in more self-reflection that does the extrovert. Your ability to work on your own is probably admired by managers and will get you recognized.
Being an introvert is not better than being an extrovert, nor visa versa. While you will be uniquely you, the trick is to learn how to incorporate traits from both personality types for optimal success.
