Everyone could benefit from a little more confidence (yes, even the person who appears to be too smug for their own good). But boosting confidence is difficult to do, and most of us fail to realize that boosting confidence is something that comes from the inside, and can’t be changed by external factors. As such, here are some methods for increasing confidence that you can start using on a daily basis–
Take a Few Extra Minutes to Care for Yourself
When you take time to indulge in self care, you’ll feel and look better, which will give you more confidence. Maybe this means hitting the gym or getting in an extra sprint. It could mean filling your plate full of veggies instead of fries. Or it could mean getting a massage, taking a bath or buying something you’ve really wanted.
Promise to Stop Saying Bad Things About Yourself
This is one of the most difficult things for people to do, yet one of the most important – if you keep putting yourself down, you’re going to feel bad. Promise yourself right now that you will stop saying negative things about yourself.
Put Your Best Face Forward
Each time you do something, do it with the best version of yourself. And this doesn’t just mean when giving a presentation in front of your boss. For example, if you go to the grocery store, be nice to the cashier, even if the line is 20 minutes long. When you are putting your best face forward, you’ll feel good. Other people will notice, too.
