How to Prepare for Tomorrow Tonight

Are you ready for the upcoming week?

It’s Sunday everyone, which means that for most of us, the workweek starts tomorrow. If you want to get ahead of your Monday, here are some ideas for how to prepare for tomorrow tonight:

1. Get Stress Off Your Chest

An article in Forbes suggests “brain dumping,” which means writing down everything that you need to get done tomorrow in order to declutter your mind and allow yourself the stress relief. If you are thinking about everything that needs to get done, you may lose sleep or be wound up. Get it off your chest so that you’re able to relax and get the good night’s sleep you need.

2. Make a Plan

Don’t just write down what you’ll do; write down when you’ll do it. Know exactly what time you’ll wake up and how your morning will look, starting with that first cup of coffee. How will you tackle the tasks throughout the day? Make sure your plan is reasonable and doesn’t leave you planning to take on more than is possible.

3. Get the Sleep You Need

An effective work day isn’t possible when you’re pooped. Make sure you get a good night’s rest by hitting the sack early and following a relaxing nighttime routine, such as reading a book, writing in a journal, and having a cup of tea. Avoid alcohol and caffeine, both of which could keep you up. Turn out the lights at a reasonable hour (before 11:00 p.m.), and plan for at least seven hours of sleep.

4. Make a Tiny List

A tiny list is one where you make a list of five, no more than five, things that you must accomplish the next day before lunch. This way you’re prepared and can offload the weight on your mind and sleep better.

5. Read a Few Pages of Inspirational Words

Sleep is one of the most magical places where you can help accelerate your success. Reading a few pages of inspirational words will help you throughout your next day.

6. Forgive Yourself

To forgive is divine but to forgive yourself of anything that you may have been imperfect at is more divine for your next days’ productivity. Create a two minute ritual where you spend forgiveness of those things and cut the cords.
