Men in business are 3.5 times more likely to reach $1 million in annual revenue than women, yet women own nearly half of all U.S. businesses. The disparity in income highlights the fact that for women, making it big may be more difficult. Here are three things that we can learn from the top female entrepreneurs:
Act with Intent
Above all other things, having specific intent and purpose (that goes beyond just making moolah) is a key driving force for success.
Be Passionate
Going hand in hand with intent, you must be passionate. Not only should you be passionate about your business, what it is offering, as well as your customer and overall impact, but also about pushing yourself to a whole new level.
Give to Receive
Too often women don’t give or share or support other women. When you give, you recieve. I have found that when I have been in rooms with men and women who want to get funding the men tend to get more funding more readily. Supporting women in business is absolutely essential to ensure you receive more readily and easily.
Know That You Will Have to Work Harder
As mentioned above, women who are entrepreneurs may find that they are fighting an uphill battle. Accepting right from the get go that you may have to work harder or may even be discriminated against in certain parts of the world is essential.
