Being highly sensitive isn’t a bad thing, but it does leave you at a higher risk of feeling people’s negative energy and letting it get you down. Here are a few things that you can do to avoid anxiety and getting stuck:
Ask for Support
If you’ve been around a bunch of negativity all day, don’t be afraid to ask for some upbeat company. A dinner party is a great way to boost your mood, or get outdoors for a hike with a group.
Be Aware of Your Space
The world can feel loud and abrasive. For this reason, it’s important that you keep your home, office, of even your desktop clear of clutter. Open space will do you well – don’t forsake the importance of keeping things clean and getting outdoors!
Express Yourself
If you’re feeling ultra-sensitive or are feeding off another person’s negativity, sometimes, talking it out is the best method of resolving the problem.
Be Cathartic
Crying is a type of cathartic release. Not that you should cry, but getting out negative energy in your body for positive results will help.
Get Physical
If you’re feeling stressed, one of the best things that you can do is move it off. Lift some weights, go for a walk, or do some jumping jacks.
